Rickyah “Miss America” Blake
Miss America, a digital performance artist and curator working to find the meaning of life. If the world is a simulation, then what am I? Virtually dead, she replied. Many theorists have confirmed the notions of the world being a simulation or a simulated reality, which is not something Miss America looks forward to. Being a Black woman from North America, it would be safe to say, if this is all one big game, then I’m f*cked. Her score, which can be seen as social value, is being destroyed by racism, fascism, sexism; name an ism that doesn’t negatively impact the Black woman's value in society. This research project is her plea to humanity to disagree with the models that suggest humans are computers. Miss America is working to rebuild her score through encouraging viewers to lean into compassion, overlook the racial, sexist, homophobic bias that's been algorithmically programmed into you. With the odds stacked against her, she is taking the road less traveled by, a soul’s journey. A fool she may be, but through researching Occult knowledge, secret history, cosmic truths, ancient allegories, she may have stumbled into it. Into what you say? You know what? That thing that we all are afraid may exist, because if so we would have to let go of our perceived reality. The One common Truth. In the pursuit of world truths, discovering the Theosophists, Mystic, Witch and Warlock along the way, Miss America isn’t sure where she’s going. Her performance and curatorial practices serve as a ritual guiding her. There is no destination in sight, just a lifelong pursuit of happiness ahead.
On the sea we shall see that it was here all along. If the world is a stage, then father, I must perform.
