Inspiration for The Bird of Things project came while walking around London and observing bird activity in the local area. It became apparent that pigeons walking around is pretty normal and reminded me of my walks back home in New York, New York.

Black Bird is a performance piece enacted by Rickyah Blake exploring race, gender, and identity being a Black body in London through where in the resolved work she is cosplaying as a Black Crow and performing in front of a live audience in Camberwell Green Park.
